I don't think there would be any immediate effects of goo on arbitrary surfaces, however, one thing I'm worried about is that the goo has come from seemingly solid rubber essentially melting, and I'm wondering if it will get more and more liquified over time, i.e. even if it is just a sticky blob right now, will it tend to creep and migrate in ten years time?
