Default TEAC T-H500 Memory Battery

My TEAC T-H500 tuner does not store radio stations. I imagine that the battery needs replacement. Is this something that I could do myself?

I have only had experience of replacing the battery in a Linn amp. It was quite straightforward, but did require the leads to be soldered in.

The battery is available from CPC.
It needs soldering to the circuit board (after de-soldering the old one).
Getting the top of the case off is a bit of a faff due to a strip of double sided tape along the front edge!

Thank you, both. I really appreciate the information about the battery and I have contacted CPC. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, I did it! I found my trusty old soldering iron and made the replacement. I really enjoyed taking something that was pretty useless and giving it a new lease of life. I wish that I knew more about electronics as I would do it more often if I did.

Thank you for the information above. It is most appreciated

Glad you managed to sort it - the H-500 series is nice kit.
