Default Anyone recognise this Potentiometer in the Kenwood TS-870?

I recently bought a used Kenwood TS-870 in great condition, however, upon delivery, I found that the NB/Squelch Potentiometer spindle(s) have been bent - possibly in transit.

When turning either the NB or Squelch knob, they both bind at various stages & are tough to turn.

Checking the Kenwood TS-870 service manual just comes up with a Kenwood part number that's no longer available.

The Potentiometer is a concentric 10K type - linear I presume.

The seller says they'll pay for return carriage & repair this, but I'm happy to do it myself if I can source the right part. Furthermore, my heart sinks when I think about sending this lump to & fro' via post as it weighs about 15Kg.

Can anyone Identify & recognise this pot', please?

Pots and switches for Japanese ham radios were back then almost always sourced from Alps (who were also the company behind Alpine car audio systems).

I would suggest you try and find an online catalog of current and legacy Alps parts and see if you can identify the same style as your damaged parts.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

I've been doing a thorough search for "concentric 10K linear Potentiometer's", and Alps keep cropping up.

They're the same green colour, too.

I've found one with similar dimensions, but not quite the same, so I'll continue my search.
