Default Ultra Troubadour R7961

This was a fairly straightforward job. Most of the capacitors & resistors had been replaced. The ballast resistor network began to emit smoke. This was caused by the heat plate on top of the ballast resistor shorting out one of the resistors.
The frame aerial wires had been cut, and some of the frame aerial was coming away from the back panel. The aerial wires were found to be a bit short in length, so extensions were added.
The radio now works O.K.
Cheers

Also, I replaced the metal resistor (reads "Body, Tip, Spot") that is nearest to the heat plate, so they do not make accidental contact again.
The Ultra Troubadour sounds a lot better than I thought it would.
