Ancient Miele Dryer
Greetings all
Having a senior moment. This is an ancient Miele dryer which has ceased to power up. There are two thermostats in the heating element tray. On the attached picture the left hand one is the 140 degree sensor....simple 2 connection switch. I have a spare. The RHS sensor has three connections....two are temperature switched but what is the third ( brown) connection? It seems not to change state when heat or cold are applied. Naturally I do not have a spare and the part number is illegible Many thanks! |

Re: Ancient Miele Dryer
Hello,
do you know what was connected to it? Do you have a model #? This might help. Three connections indicate it is a COM-NO-NC arrangement. Regards, Joe |

Re: Ancient Miele Dryer
This is probably a stupid comment, but is it a changeover switch with a common terminal?

Re: Ancient Miele Dryer
Many thanks.... your replies focussed my mind that it could only be a changeover arrangement. And so it is. What was that about short term memory?
