Default Philips 732 turntable won't turn.

Hi,

I bought an old Philips 732:

I saw this thread:
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=129836

Where indigo.girl had a problem where the motor wasn't turning. I have the same problem, the motor is very similar. I have cleaned the bearings with acetone and greased them with hair trimmer oil. It spins easily (very little torque/friction), and has 120 VAC across the motor. But it still wont turn? What should I do?

Thanks for your advice, Johan in Stockholm

Just read your post. I am not familiar with this unit so I can only suggest you check the motor winding. Unlike indigo girl, with a stuck motor, in the post you referred to, your motor turns ok.
