Bush TV161 Boost Capacitor
I intend to replace both the boost C18 and reservoir capacitor C51 which are listed as 0.1uF @1000vdc.
I have 0.15uF @1000vdc value capacitors. Is this value suitable for use in both locations? The advice of others would be warmly welcomed. No pun intended. Chris |

Re: Bush TV161 Boost Capacitor
I see no problem with that at all. Manufacturers will normally use the lowest value they can get away with so another .05uF is not going to cause any problems.

Many thanks Sideband.
To think that once I would try my luck on a customers set but now for something I own, no way! Chris |

Re: Bush TV161 Boost Capacitor
Hi.
As Sideband says an increase in value makes no odds. I've fitted boost and boost decoupling capacitors of more than double the value in the past, it's makes no difference to the resultant voltages or any changes to picture size etc. So don't worry.
