Default Transistor history, Japan's take.

Have not seen this in the Vintage pages, it gives an insight into how the Japanese scientists created a transistor and semiconductor industry on minimalist knowledge and equipment gleaned from the USA.

I have watched this it was very interesting (what with transistor girls)
I have read that the Chinese used to make transistors in their homes !Has anyone got information on that little known fact
