Default From crystal set to Black Box

Found on the BBC News Web Site. The story of how, starting as a young child exploring radio for the first time with a crystal set, subsequently led to an amazing career in electronics which has benefited millions.
There is also an intriguing vintage radio photo in this report, too.

Interesting story. When I first read the title, for some reason I thought he'd gone on to work for Pye…….

Yes very interesting story thanks for bringing it to our attention.
It’s a coincidence but I’ve got a Pye Blackbox on my bench and my first set was a crystal set!
Cheers
