Default Philips N4416, N4417, N4418 and N4419 Differences?

Just a quickie one!

Can any Philips reel–to–reel expert highlight the differences between the N4416, N4417, N4418 and N4419 please?

(I know the N4414 is only a two speed machine, but I'm not sure how the N4416 to N4419 differ from each other!)

I think a lot of it was down to the power handling of the internal amp/speakers. Also presence of trick effects like sound on sound. The 4419 had a programmable tape counter.

One big difference is that the 4416 and 4417 have mechanical pushbuttons, whereas the 4418 and 4419 are electronic. The logic circuitry in the 4418 and 4419 used DTL and could be problematic if it wasn't one of the plug-in modules.

Basically a progression of features but all using a similar mechanism, all stereo with internal amps/speakers except where specified. From early-mid 70s.

N4414 basic model, only one VU meter
N4416 two VU meters, two heads.
N4417 later version of 4416 in black.
N4418 3 heads.
N4419 later version of 4418 in black.
N4510 deck only version of the 4418, ie no output amps or internal speakers.
N4511 later version of 4510 in black.
N4450 flagship model with many extra features and different mechanics. Output amps but no internal speakers.

N4418/9, N4510/11, N4450 can all use a wired remote control for the mechanical functions such as wind, play etc. and the buttons light up as the recorders’ buttons do.
However found this excellent series of pages which describe the entire range:
