Driven by an arduino and allowing 2 digits each for hours, minutes and seconds? Unfortunately, going from 23:59:59 to 00:00:00 will take 774,141 turns which could take a while

There are 6 dials - so you could have
seconds - ones (scale 0-9) and tens (scale 0-5) minutes - ones (scale 0-9) and tens (scale 0-5) hours - scale 1-12 (I know, that's cheating!) and either an am/pm dial (bit boring) or maybe days of the week (scale - 1-7!)

Transport in an OAP shopping trolley? Good luck with the rescue Christopher. Who knows, the works may not be too corroded, especially if non ferrous and partially protected.

A rusty old electric meter with an incandescent light bulb on top. A metaphor for what awaits mankind if he continues to neglect the environment.
Shall we start the bidding at £100?

Re: Old Ferranti electric meter spotted under a tree near Belper
Good afternoon,
Well... I failed to bring it home this weekend. I went prepared with my big hiking rucksack and plenty of water to drink. I had completely underestimated the size and thickness of the slate panel on which this meter was screwed to. After loading it into the rucksack and struggling like mad to get it on I managed to stagger about 200 meters in a very non straight line before giving up!! Suffice to say it was probably very similar in weight and size to having a council paving slab with a big lump of cast iron screwed to it, then hanging off your shoulders with an additional several litres of drinking water in tow. No wander I could hardly walk . I don’t think walking 3-4 miles over the hill to get home would have done me much good!! I will have to think of another way to get it home. Possibly snapping the rusted nuts holding it onto the slab to separate the 2. Christopher Capener

Re: Old Ferranti electric meter spotted under a tree near Belper
Does that then qualify it as a "proper" meter, as per HVH's forum signature?
