Default McMichael Duplex Mains Four Transportable

Bit of a mystery with this set. The right hand knob is marked as an on/off/volume control but its movement is restricted by stops in the bakelite escutcheon which allow the set to be turned on but suggest that the knob can not be turned further clockwise. Is this correct or does the knob pull out to clear these stops? The knob will appear turn beyond the stops but I am not keen to force it round in case I break something off. I am a bit reluctant to remove the chassis at this stage but will if necessary.

Lawrence's picture says it all - reposition the knob as shown. Cheers, Jerry
