Hi Folks,
Greetings. I came across this post. I just bought the BIF 571A from Shane G this morning. I find these old valve amps fascinating. The link above is very helpful and I've read through it. Sadly it's now closed so I wouldn't be able to add any additional questions of my own.

My radio (formerly Shane's) is actually working and you can hear RTE coming through when plugged in. He had it on when I arrived. I turned it on again briefly this afternoon and had a look around.

I'm currently downloading the schematic from RM page by page. Some of the people chiming in on the thread above have very helpful advice. I'll give it a look once I have more info.
Is there a trouble-shooting guide anywhere on this forum? I know my way around a few Fender guitar valve amps... but I'm new to radio.
Thanks

The closest we have to a troubleshooting guide can be found here:-

Thanks Station X. It's a very interesting forum for me. I will go ahead and try and re-open that thread in the way that you've suggested. A lot of knowledgable people have already chimed in and it might be useful if they see any future questions.

Many thanks,
Tony
