Default Unknown, jack plug, flat blade thing.

Hello Forum,

I found this gold plated flat blade jack plug type of a thing in the bottom of one of my junk boxes. It has a screw on knurled bushing at the end.
It looks interesting,

Any clue's forum ?

Cheers.

That looks like the sliding contact ('Jockey' ?) used on a metre potentiometer or bridge wire. A common thing in physics practicals when I was at school
