Hacker Hunter RP38A parts - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Does anyone have any IF transformers (specifically IFT 1, or IFT 2) for the above radio, or a scrap chassis that may contain one of the these?
In my radio the cores in IFT 1 have disintegrated thus preventing a true alignment.
I used a plastic adjusting tool with very little force whilst trying to complete an alignment but the cores fell apart.
Great shame. The radio was working quite well on AM, not so good on FM.
The RF alignment needed attention, along with a careful adjustment of the tuning capacitor which was touching at one end of its movement. Both of these faults were successfully resolved before the disaster with the IF transformer.
I have checked for movement in all the the other transformers and they seem fine.

Linton , think i have a complete working chassis for one of these ,the case was in a terrible state . you can have it foc . we haven`t been to the mother in laws for a while because of the covid , might be going down there in the next couple of weeks ,if we do will drop it off , regards, Tim.
