Default Radio 5 Brookmans Park engineering work

It would seem the BBC 5 Live 909khz transmitter a Brookmans Park is off the air or on very low power just now. Certainly very weak here at Cambridge just now.

It has been some weeks now and reception on 909khz is still weaker than is normal for this area. This is starting to look like a permanent power reduction. At times 693khz is the stronger and clearer of the two frequencies which was never the case previously. Has anyone else noticed this?

What's your basis for making that statement? The engineering work isn't due to finish until 4 October.

I monitored 909kHz whilst the engineering work was in progress and it was coming in at S9. It's now coming in at S9 +10dB. Same set same aerial.
