Smile 1956 Defiant 76 Console Set

Hi all,
I was going to add this to the last thread about this set, but it's been closed See here - https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...hlight=defiant

Anyways, I decided that I wouldn't repair this myself in case I ced it up. I know I know, it's a long story. I can repair things for other people all day long with no issues, but as soon as I start working on somthing for myself it ends up catastrophic !!!
So it was duly plonked in the car and taken to another forum members place.
I picked it up last weekend and my Aurorra arrived this morning so I got to work. Believe me, it performs as good as it looks

The pictures don't do it much credit to be fair. My camera's packed up and I'm reduced to my phone.

Here's a short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3j7fRTnkHo

Anyway, many thanks to the guy who did the work (Not sure if he's OK with being mentioned or not, so he'll stay incogneto for now)
And here's to another great television set being saved

Dr. Dave

Hi Dave.
Great result, these Plessey chassis derived sets are so good to do and really reliable. You need to not bring yourself down. I am sure you will do a great job on your own stuff and it shows from this thread.
