Smile Steptoe set identity quiz!

I must have seen this Radio Times publicity photo on many occasions over the years, sometimes in cropped form, but only recently did I notice what Harry H Corbett is grappling with... I wonder if he's noticed that an important part is missing!

Is Wilfrid Brambell is flicking through a discarded copy of Radio & TV Servicing?

looks like the Murphy3xx, reminds me of that great episode where 'Arold' is building a receiver, I always wondered what that set was too.

Isn't that the same "set" which they were attempting to watch in the episode where they divided the house into two? It didn't have innards then, either.

Hi.
I put the same photo on the forum a couple of years ago It definately is a 310/320 Murphy.
There is also anther one on the boxed DVD set.

In Fact it wasn't quite the same picture, here is the one off the boxed set.

Any idea what episode it is?

The 16" Metal tubed television that Harold 'built' was either a P.T. Supervisor or the chassis from a Ferguson 989T. Great episode. J.

Having watched them all recently, I'm pretty certain that that set did not feature in any episode.

It's likely to be just a publicity photograph.
