Bronze Plaque in London for John Logie Baird.
Seems they've put up a plaque for him.
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/0...bronze_plaque/ [Now when can we get a suitable plaque for the - IMHO much more influential] A.D. Blumlein ? |

Re: Bronze Plaque in London for John Logie Baird.
Good link Tanuki. They didn't really spot that it was the 70th anniversary of Baird's death here in June last year. The final point is the key one, in my view, ie that he had a colour transmission service to Cinemas in the 30's and had developed a CRT system when he died in 1946 [just before it was due to be shown to the Press. We managed to get the blue plaque re-instated on the block that replaced Baird Court [next to Bexhill Station] a decade ago.
