Ambassador TV14A CC
I've got the Trader sheet 1256 for this series of models, this is a corner
one, but does anyone know the difference between TV14 and TV14A ? |

Re: Ambassador TV14A CC
Information for the TV14, TV15 and TV17 can be found in the 1955/56 R & T servicing book. Pages 249 thru to 254. These sets do not have vision AGC.
Later production models incorporate vision AGC so it's likely your TV14A CC has the extra circuitry for that facility. An additional valve, a 10LD11 double-triode functions as the vision AGC amplifier and rectifier. If your set has vision AGC there will be two 10LD11 DDTs present on the chassis. The circuit diagram of the vision AGC can be found on page 266 of the 1956/57 R & T book. DFWB. |

Re: Ambassador TV14A CC
Thanks, David, I have all the info now, one the oldest sets I have acquired, which I'll
keep if the tube is OK - it may be a rebuild with the label RV "Hyqual" (CRM141) The curved back also need attention. Tony |
