Default Toshiba V-9600

Hi at all.

Anyone have a past experience on this Toshiba Betamax?
What type of common issue have this VTR Betamax?

I have heard that the main problem with these Toshiba's were head wear. You can find replacements on ebay.

Hi
It's one of the worst looking and performing Beta's I've ever had the mispleasure of working on.Just look at the huge plastic geared wheels for the insertion mechanism.
Their later V31b was a big improvement. Sadly these suffer with real bad head wear and arching reel motors over a short period of time.

There was a multi system version of this model, the 9680. Is the picture quality better than the Sanyo's (5000, 5300, 5350, 5400)?

A new Video Head Disk is very hard to find?
Where is the models, of Toshiba, Betamax mount the same drum?
