Default Hitachi CTP 204

Moving on to colour sets, I would be interested in any opinions of this set, it
doesn't need much restoration. Thanks.

Hi
Is that the one with the vertical chassis? I'll be in the workshop tomorrow so I can dig out the manual and remind myself.
Most Hitachis of this era didn't need much in the way of repair - Hitachi were a respected manufacturer of quality TVs. How things have changed!

Yes indeed, the intense layer of dust gives the impression this set has never been
serviced. The screen has a coloured patch so unless this is a convergence problem
it just needs a degauss. I'll look out for a manual.
