National Panasonic NV-G10EM
I need help with a VCR of this model. When I plug it in, the Power/Standby LED comes on but everything else doesn't turn on. I replaced all the capacitors in the power supply and I tested the STR 10006 IC and seems to be good. Any suggestions?

Re: National Panasonic NV-G10EM
There's a low value fusible resistor on the main pcb somewhere near the input leads from the PSU. Might be wrapped in a sort of fabric sleeve. check/replace it. I will see if I can remember which ref it is!
Also be sure the mode belt (accessible removing bottom metal plate) is in good shape, if it isn't then odd thigns can happen. these machines should 'shuffle' the idler on power on.

To ensure the tape is tight and not loose enough to fall down off the guides.
