Philips 21TG1006
Hi everyone I thought you might like to see my latest 405 line tv (thanks Chris) . It is the philips 21TG1006 . It has the auto contrast sensor on the front which still works ! . These sets seemed to be very popular with customers . I was called to a Stella version the day after 405 line transmissions ended . The customer was sad to have to pension it off ! .
Regards . Gary . |

Speaking as a devoted 17TG100U owner, what you have there is the next step up...

Re: Philips 21TG1006
Hi Gary having spent 2 hrs trying to find a fault centred around the contrast pot and its associated r's and c's (the pot has no effect) I then came across your post about the auto contrast !
the cct I have is trader 1460/t190 which is the 17 in one and no mention of the auto sensor. Shorting the 2 wires that come from it (not the shield black one) the control works ! ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH ! Regards Stu will now remove it and see if there is anything we can do |

It produces one of the best 405 line pictures of all my sets, I bet the 21" version is very impressive! These do tend to suffer LOPT failure, so far mine is fine... Mark |
