Please identify this unusual british TV set!
Good evening,
Some days ago I got a picture from a nice guy from Austria. It shows a really unusual TV set. My idea was that it has to be french, belgian or british! Why? The set in question has a 31 cm CRT (Philips) and a typical CRT mask with brass mountings. They were common in France and Belgium. The screen is not flat like it is common at US-sets, so the USA are out. Belgium produced only little numbers before the official start in 53, most of these sets are common to me. France had dozens of companies in this TV busyness. Many are forgotton because they produced sets in low numbers. But there was "Commissioner Random" on my side. A telephone is placed on the unknown set. People in this hobby will be fast to identify the telephone to recognize the country of origin. Placed the request this morning, the answer was a question of only about 5 minutes! YES, the set is british! https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=121367 I saw so many sets in Birmingham, on web-sites and manuals, but I have absolutely no idea to identify this one! So guys, it`s now your turn! Please let me know what it is: -Year of production -Company -Type/Model Many thanks in advance! German Dalek

Hi
I believe that is a pye LV21C. It came in a very nice cabinet with ornate brass door handles. Date is around 1950. Robin |
