Does a Grundig GV 204 VPS VCR use a c-wrap type deck?
I have found a non-functional Grundig GV 204 VPS vcr (mechanical problem) for €10 but i didn't bought it yet. Everything electronic wise seems to be working.
I would be interested in it if it used a c-wrap type deck, does anyone knows if it does? If not, and taking in account that the deck has a stuck tape inside (uknown mechanical problem), do you think this VCR would be worth for a €10 price tag? Thank you in advance! |

I don't think there's any GV-series VCR that uses C-wrap. The early ones before 1993 or so, have a Panasonic G-deck while later ones sport a Philips Turbo drive. The last ones were bought in from various suppliers such as Sanyo. All M-wraps.
I suspect this one has the Panasonic deck. |

Thank you.
That said it might not be worthy at all. Cheers and thanks! |
