Smile Guess the set...

Guess the set... No really

This is a picture of a good friend of mine taken in his TV repair shop back in the mid 60's.
I've been bugging him for pictures of the shop and workshop, I believe the place was open from the 50's till it sadly closed around the time I had my place in Lowestoft, Suffolk. (2000ish)
In fact Roger used to do all my VCR repairs because I hated working on video's so much
The shop was called SeeView and it was on Lowestoft Road, Gorleston in Norfolk.

So here's the picture but we're both dying to know, what IS the set ?

Yes the Cossor 945. Very reliable, the last quality built Cossor before the Philips take over. The nasties were the 948 and 950. They lost the plot.
Cossor were one of the best known in the radio industry and produced some very nice receivers. The guy that designed the cabinets should have been taken into the yard at Highbury Grove and shot at dawn! The designs always let them down but the internals were up to the mark. J.
