Thumbs up Re: EKCO TS1105 ...need your help - please

Good morning, good news!
Sean m1ecy got a CRM92 from ebay for me. Many thanks to Sean.
When I got it it made ca. 10uA at 10V between g and K.
I took the focus voltage of a color monitor I just repaired ( Fanuc TX1450AB) to look if there is something on the screen.
In the pic you can see a big spot. The dark in the center is not an ion
burn, it is the surface of the Katode (!).
John you are right, with more than 50uA you can see a pic in a darken
room. I brought the tube up to 80uA and it is not bright but ok.
I am very happy to have a triode CRT now.

Kind regards
Darius

Hi John, yes I agree. I think this is only possible with a triode, because
the positive voltage of a g2 generates a lens.
When I first saw this picture I thaught oh dear what a big ion burn
in the phosphor. But then I found out that the phosphor is very good
and was understanding what's on the screen!
I'll make another pic after running the tube for some time. I want to
see a before and after picture.

Kind regards
Darius
