Manor Supplies Mk V Colour Bar Generator – Sound Module info?
Just a quickie one!
Can anyone tell me if the Sound PCB/Module CMN18 in the Manor Supplies Mk. V Colour Bar Generator was a bought–in item or their own design please? I remember buying (and unsuccessfully attempting to build!) the previous Mk. 4 kit, and this used a Philips Module of the sort found on G8 I.F. or combined signal panels, but I can't remember which one it was – was the Sound Module CMN18 the same? Re: Manor Supplies Mk V Colour Bar Generator – Sound Module info?
It was their own design. When I bought my Manor Supplies kit, they insisted on soldering up the module for me (I obviously could have done it, as I was going to solder the rest of the kit together). They got out a packet of a little PCB, coil, transistor, a few R's and C's, etc
They claimed they had to make it for me as it had to be aligned. All I will say is that the sound subcarrier was nowhere near 6MHz until I tweaked the core of the coil on said module. |
