Unfortunately more info would be needed by anyone, ie, radio amateur, seeking to re-use one of these as the '8235' is just the base model number, so they could be VHF, UHF or even band III. I can't see any indication one way or the other on the photos in the link.

Also these appear to be 'trunked' radios which is normally an obstacle to re-use as conventional radios, but I have seen at least one description which says they have a 'conventional channel mode' as well, so it may all be down to programming on these particular sets.

They are VHF band 3 radios which puts them in the 175 to 225 MHz and yes Trunked radios that can do conventional channels

I used to help maintain Blackpool Transport radios and built up tone of their previous systems. I would guess they have now gone digital.

Not a lot of use on the frequencies and little chance of modification.
