Bakelite archaeology
I was digging up the top of the garden yesterday and came up with various bits of glass, plastic and rag... and this.
I was hoping to find more components, but nothing else has turned up yet. The grub screw is intact, although rusted up. So, does anyone know what it's from and does anyone want it? It's at the smaller end of things - think around the size of a 20p (maybe a bit bigger).

Re: Bakelite archaeology
It looks like the knobs used on Stern's tape recorders of the late '50s, early '60s.

Re: Bakelite archaeology
I think this may have been an off the shelf generic knob, an old homebuild radiogram we used to have had these on it. Getting the grub screw out is going to be interesting! Plusgas then hot soldering iron..?
