This seems like a natural fork in the thread. If we leave things as they are, only people interested in Eddystone 840s will be steered here by the title and everyone else will miss out on some interesting material on grafting ceramic filters into various receivers.
The ceramic filter stuff is sufficiently general that it ought to be a thread on its own. Maybe in the amateur/military section? I don't want to cut the filter stuff out from the 840 thread because that would leave it with gaps, so would someone like to start off a new thread in the amateur/military section with a bit of welcoming explanation? I'll add a redirection post here for anyone wanting to follow the filter discussions and we can leave the thread to be a bit more 840-specific. David
