Goblin teasmaid
We have a goblin teasmaid, the kettle boils up correctly but when it transfers the water to the teapot it doesn’t transfer all the water in other words there isn’t enough hot water for two cups of tea
Help /advice please Thanks |

Re: Goblin teasmaid
I don’t know this model but usually the kettle sits on a sprung “platform” which has a switch underneath so when the kettle is full, the platform is down, the switch is closed and the kettle can boil. As the weight of kettle+water reduces, the platform lifts, the switch opens and the boiling stops (hence water transfer stops too). It sounds like the platform is lifting early so (assuming you are competent and taking necessary precautions) check the mechanism, perhaps lubricate etc. There may be an adjustment for the spring tension.
