Re: The Gerry Wells TV- continued
Thanks David- a fascinating piece of history. I wonder why stabilised circuits took so long to catch on more generally? I guess Gerry could just have included some of the feedback components, to reduce the drive even if he didn't want to go the full stabilisation route. I want to change what he did as little as possible so I think I'll just leave it with reduced EHT and call it a day.

Re: The Gerry Wells TV- continued
Hi Steve
Not Gerry's set but I'm thinking of the Bush TV53 series might be the ideal set to try out the line stabilising circuit. Peto-Scott was the only firm in the mid-fifties to apply these useful refinement to domestic TV set design. Didn't Peto-Scott make TV monitors which is the type of equipment that would benefit from this type of line TB circuit. DFWB. |

Hi Steve
The line time base seems to be similar to the Basic circuits for the constructor in the Television Magazine Part 6 December 1971. Keith |

Re: The Gerry Wells TV- continued
Hi Keith thanks for that. I should have that and I will look it up. Meanwhile here is an off screen picture. I've run it for several hours and it's pretty stable. I might tootle up the pincushion magnets a bit. I'm going to write it up for the BVWS mag. Thanks again to all who helped with identifying bits of it.
