Just a reminder that this event is less than 2 weeks away now!

There are still a couple of table spaces left in the main hall should you wish to book a last minute stall. Just contact the organisers as per post above...

And don't forget to come and say hello to us on the BVWS stall!

See you there...

Sadly I'll have to miss this one too (first time for a long time) . The medics' drilling and draining of my skull in July counts as neurosurgery and DVLA suspend your permission to drive after that until you've shown you aren't going to have seizures as a result (so far, so good in my case).

Cheers,

GJ

Make sure to visit my stall, than, as it'll be full of stuff you don't need!

Hello,

With a fair wind behind me I should be at the Audiojumble.

I’ll definitely darken the BVWS stall as I need some of those luverly 33+33uF 450V Dual Axial capacitors for the JTM45/5F6 amp build/project.

Regards
Terry.

Default Audiojumble

Did anyone go to the Audiojumble?
I went and had a good time. I don't think there were quite so many stalls as normal but the most of the goodies were there. Loads of turntables, vacuum tube stuff and plenty of solid state for those with smaller pockets (although not always). Possible a little less of the "scramble" - unsorted oddities in boxes, usually under the table.
I carried away a few bargains (well - I think they are) and a couple of "why did I buy that?" and one or two "I didn't really need yet another".
I passed on a couple of items that, with reflection, I think I should have bought. But that's the name of the game at the Audiojumble.
Chatted with many like minded people and had, basically, an entertaining time for a reasonable outlay.
Now, to put all my new high-quality purchases to use, I'm listening to one of the CDs I bought. Happy times.
Thank you to the organisers and I'll see you all again in February.

Hello,

Yeah, went along to the Audiojumble. It’s always a good day out, usually resulting in lighter wallet.

Bought a Dyantron LF.14 amplifier from the BVWS stall for £20 – worth that alone for the Mullard ECC83 and EL84 valves "Sir" – well that was the sales patter the lads on the BVWS stall gave me!

BBC AM8/11 (Quad 50D) with connectors. Came with an interesting home brew ‘diecast-box’ preamplifier.

Box of Mc Murdo connectors for a Quad 50E – thanks to Jeremey for guiding me to this stall.

Some portable radios with Caroline on the dial. Quite fitting, seeing, I was wearing my Caroline Tee Shirt.

Hawkwind, In Search of Space LP, with Logbook – this went well with the Caroline Tee Shirt!

Finally, two Jones sockets for the 78 project.

It was really good to have a chat with everyone.

Ps. What I didn't find was an idler wheel for the Goldring GL75.

Regards
Terry

Envious, I read the log years ago, from memory it went "god was bored, went bang, life etc, turned itself into a 3D spaceship that then turned into a 2D LP" I paraphrase, trippy stuff, excellent LP.

Didn't know Audiojumble was on, must get out more.

Andy.

I was on my usual stall and had a great day out - it's always good to meet up with fellow enthusiasts and natter hi-fi with them.

I had a good sale and anyone who knows me will be unsurprised that I did buy a turntable and a pair of speakers - the latter as a restoration project. However, as someone who has always been utterly cynical regarding the whole 'flat earth' audio thing, no-one was more surprised than me that the turntable is a Linn and the speakers are Naim!

You can buy the products without having to buy into the religion. You simply have the strength of mind to not get sucked-in.

Another well organised event at this outstanding venue.

Best bargain for me was the dusty box with old headshells for £5.
Especially the SME one that was fitted with a Goldring G1042.
Another "sound" investment.

Andy,

I think you’ve put Hawkwind into a nutshell there.

Master of the Universe Sounds good through a Quad 22 system, much to the annoyance of my late Mum when I was a lad.

Does this mean that I should restore the speakers using techniques i learned as a loudspeaker designer, rather than using the words of "wisdom" on the internet?!
