5 pin base for MW6/2
I would like to get hold one or two 5 pin bases for the MW6/2 so I can have a play with this CRT, if anyone has any being un-loved that are in need of a good home, please let me know of costs.
Or if not available can one suggest what the type would be called for a search on the web The valve museum says they were a special? Adrian |

I recall experimenting with one of these MW6/2 projection CRTs. I found that soldering directly on to those side contacts was a straightforward, if unorthodox, way of making the connections.

Just a thought, I think the the base/holder you want is known as a CT5 which are not very common, does anyone know if the more common CT8 can be used if the pins line up by ignoring the unwanted connections.
