Default Telephone handset cords

Does anyone know if replacement handset cords for the 706-series of GPO telephones are still available? And if so, from where? Thanks!!

Stephanie,

They turn up regularly on eBay, often NOS, and rarely very expensive

Having said that, the only one I've seen today is rather costly [number 290136271339]

Yeah. Thanks Nick, I saw that one. I just need one in white, or ivory, or whatever the color is.

Ivory was the commonest colour for 700-series phones, so keep looking and you'll be lucky

I bought a NOS blue one recently for about £3 inc. p&p.

Might be worth sending an email to Telephone Lines http://www.telephonelines.net/

Are you still looking for one? I asked around and a friend presented me with this ivory handset with neon ringing indicator plus cord - you can have the whole lot or the cord alone

If you want to use the neon ringing indicator, this thread might be helpful.

Hi Guys,

Sorry it took so long to respond, I was out of the country the past three weeks (much needed holiday).

Anyway, Alvin, I came across a handset with cord that I'm going to try first. If it doesn't work, I'll let you know about the one you're showing me. Thanks for the offer!

Have you tried your cord yet? If it works I'll offer up for grabs the one I blagged for you.....
