NARSA (Blackpool) Rally 2022, 24th April
A quick mention, the Blackpool (NARSA) radio rally is back on April 24th 2022. Exhibitor details here:
https://narsa.org.uk/?page_id=3148 There seem to be surprisingly few of the major Amateur Radio traders in attendance this year but hopefully the little stands filling in the gaps will maintain the interest. |

Re: NARSA (Blackpool) Rally 2022, 24th April
Did anyone else go?
As had been forecast there were, unusually, none of the major Amateur Radio or component traders there, possibly due to current fuel costs. I still got what I went for thanks to Canny Components who are ironically from my own area. I hope everyone else who went also found the journey worthwhile. My colleague bought a couple of Sinclair computer manuals for his retro reference library for £1 the pair - they normally go for quite a bit more than that individually. It used to be good when it was on the same day as Golborne so that I could go to both for the cost of one trip across the Pennines.

NARSA. Rally
Was good to get back to some sort of normality ... whatever that is.. after the Covid lockdown.
I was with the DDARS.. Denby Dale Society.. and I had quite an interest in the display of my homebuilt equipment. The rally its self was quite busy, but I have no ideas of numbers. Its a pity there was no judging of Radio society stands. Here's to 2023

Re: NARSA (Blackpool) Rally 2022, 24th April
I went to the rally. I thought it was quite busy even though the big traders were absent. I got a few things including some small linear power supplies and a years back issue of Radcom (2021).
Also I got a Datong VLF converter, which converts 0-500 khz up to 28000 khz-28500 khz. It seems to work, I will try it with the Murphy B40d when the next SAQ transmission occurs. William |
