Default EMG/Davey DR29 (DA38 amplifier? + FM tuner), Goldring-Lenco GL55X/GL58, Fakenham 26/5

Our town's auction has been a magnet for unusual items lately. Tomorrow there's an EMG DR29 - just a four watt amplifier, plus an FM only tuner, with Goldring Lenco GL55X/GL58 turntable (the instruction leaflet covers both, I don't know how to tell the difference) - all built in to the vacated cabinet of an HMV 478 radiogram, mid to late '30s but not a model I know. It's an upright cabinet, not huge, so there's barely room to accommodate the deck. Seemed worth a mention here in case anyone is keen to acquire amplifier, deck (an early instance of Lenco's machines offering continuously variable speed) or both. There's no loudspeaker included.

That was an interesting read, thanks. Mr Sopwith's yacht system must have been a dream commission for them!
