Sanyo 8mm Camcorder Sync problem
I have an old Sanyo DM-V9P camcorder which worked when put into storage but no longer. The sync seems completely screwed up in replay. In standby or in camera mode it's OK. The sound is sometimes OK but that too is usually very distorted (and loud).
I attach some photos of the output video in replay. I found the service manual here: https://elektrotanya.com/sanyo_vm-d6...wnload.html#dl Any ideas please Chris |

Re: Sanyo 8mm Camcorder Sync problem
Hi,
We have the very same video camera, stashed away (somewhere) in our attic. I wouldn't mind betting that it is stuffed full of SMD electrolytic capacitors, which have probably now seen better days....... If this is the case, I hope they haven't leaked and damaged the p.c.b.'s. Adrian.

Re: Sanyo 8mm Camcorder Sync problem
That was my thought too but the circuit design seems to have magically avoided them as far as I can see on the circuit diagram.
