Default Manufacturing date of this TV

I found this T.V. about half a year ago and have been using it on a daily basis, but then it suddenly hit me, "how old is this thing"?.
With a bit of reaserch I found absolutely nothing about this T.V., I can't even find a website for "BEON", it's quite fustrating, so was wondering what was the manufacturing date of this BEON CTV1412R?

Thanks in advance 😁

My guess is 1990, looking at the CRT.

Very similar to the Matsui portables of the time, probably made under the Orion umbrella,

I'd date it as late 1980s, early 1990s maybe. I remember repairing an identical one (though under a different brand name, I think it was a Dixons house brand like Saisho or Matsui) in about 1994. That was in some student halls of residence, so the TV was already lowly enough to be found there!

Looks like an Orion Import from about 1989/90 as Harry/cmjones says, probably a saisho/matsui etc etc .

Oh nice, thanks.
The main reason I was asking is because it has a sticker on the back saying "Date manufactured" but the writing has worn off.

You might be lucky and find a date code on an electrolytic capacitor. Obviously disconnect the set from the mains first and don't touch the print side of the pcb or anything else that might give you a nasty nip.

Was looking at another thread someone sent me about this T.V., it turns out there is 9 different manufacturers that make this television them being:
BEON, GOODMANS, SOLAVOX, CROWN, BINATONE, TASHICO, OSAKI, MATSUI and PHAZE! 🤣

I genuinely didn't know they put dates on capacitors! I thought it was just on the back or on the actual motherboard. Thank you!

The most reliable date codes (apart from the CRT serial number, which I can't decipher in this case) are on the semiconductors, especially IC's. Look for the latest, add some margin.

The design is likely from China or Hong Kong, could be manufactured or assembled in several places and given one of many random brand labels. No wonder you can't find it, it may have been just a medium sized local retailer, importer or exporter.
