Another TV to identify!
Scanning some old photos I came across this. The photo was early Eighties but the TV must be quite a bit older. I have my ideas (it wasn't my family) but what do you think?

I think you're spot on! Must have been getting on for fifteen years old when the picture was taken, dated by a little girl sitting on top of it who wouldn't thank me for showing her photo...

Yes the GEC 2040 series. These were very reliable for the day. Happy days. John.

The black fronted one is the GEC C2100 the C2041 was all wood front

Ah - that explains something. On a subsequent photo the TV doesn't appear to have the 2041's speaker grille, though as the photo was in poor condition I couldn't be 100 per cent sure.
