Re: Melted mask.
Well done Jon! I'm not sure if it is the first post war Peto-Scott but it is certainly the second. It's the model TV122 dated 1948/49.
The Peto-Scott service manual No. 6 covers the TV92 9" and TV122 12" but there is what appears to be the TV91 and TV121 listed in 'Television Engineers Pocket Book [J.P. Hawker] a must have for vintage TV enthusiasts. Peto -Scott were a very old company dating back to the very earliest days of radio and maybe even before that. Wireless World reviewed their first television receiver in 1937. Regards, John. |

Re: Melted mask.
Good result with the tube John, what a good idea to warm the tube in the sun!
It is always a bit scary to work on an old CRT, at least it was not a 15" monster Looking forward to seeing the Peto Scott restoration. Mark |

Re: Melted mask.
Always great to read Johns escapades, roller coaster reading, excitement turns to fear, then you look back after getting off the ride and think, did I really do that.....!
Keep up the good work, Regards, Alan. |
