'Switchboard' telephone dial 21 unit
Hello. I've just acquired this unit today. Before I try to connect it with a 746 circuit board, I could do with knowing if it is likely to be suitable in the first place. It comes with a short flying lead and multiway connector but I plan to replace this with something longer if possible. Also, I have used a little light lubricant on four spots in the mechanism but this hasn't helped the sticking so far. The dial will only dial 1 and return - the other numbers will not return after dialling.
Many thanks. |

Re: 'Switchboard' telephone dial 21 unit
I think that's the dial unit for recording numbers on the Autodial 201 (which is much the same as the American Magicall dialler).
It is a normal dial with an added contact, and could be 'unmodified' to use it with a Telephone 746 PCB. But given how long it took me to find a dial unit for my Autodial 201 I think it would be a pity to do so. |

Thanks Tony. As yet the dial is sticking so it won't be any use if I can't solve that problem. I shall bear in mind your comments though.
