Looking for Philips Radio please help
Hi. I’m looking for a working model of a Philips - P4D54T - Colette Automatic de Luxe. Black case. They are from around 1965/66.
My grandfather bought one in Germany when they came out and he loved it so I would like one as a gift for my brother. Any ideas where I could get one of these? Many thanks Jon |

Re: Looking for Philips Radio please help
An eye on Ebay.de might turn up something, perhaps?
Just now there're only a couple of service manual offerings though. Happy hunting

Re: Looking for Philips Radio please help
The radio has a page on the Radiomuseum website here:
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philip..._lux.html#data This model appears to have been manufactured by Philips in Germany and I guess it was for sale over there. Perhaps ebay Germany is a good place to look? Steve.

Re: Looking for Philips Radio please help
Philips were still very regional at that time, with lots of national subsidiaries making their own designs. I doubt if many of these made it to the UK.
Looks a nice radio, good luck with finding one. |

Re: Looking for Philips Radio please help
Yes, unless someone here happens to have an example it's probably down to watching and waiting, perhaps for quite a while. Many Philips models from various European countries were marketed in the UK, but the list in Radio! Radio! (third edition) doesn't include the 454T so very probably it wasn't among them. Could have gone to several other countries though: quite a nice example looks to have sold last year in Poland
https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/p...105275279.html for the equivalent of £46.50 - no idea whether the seller would have been willing to ship to the UK. Again, good luck with the search. Paul |
