Re: A useful tip for reparing remotes
Useful, but getting the things open is usually the biggest challenge.

Re: A useful tip for reparing remotes
Beautifully simple! After another thread on here a year or so ago I bought a bottle of Liquiwire Conductive Paint but I have yet to use it in anger. I see eBay has a few similar products including a pack of 500 pieces different size pads from a UK seller.

I really had given up on one, but then I came across a duffer on a radio rally stall for 10p. Forced it apart to solve the mystery. David

Especially when they hide one very small screw under a label as happened a few weeks ago

Re: A useful tip for reparing remotes
Interesting things, I wonder if they're any good for stuff that gets repetitive use like the mute button or a burglar alarm panel (mine wore out and after a few repairs with silver paint I eventually replaced the whole panel).
I see they also do the entire conductive rubber pads as well (aliexpress). The blurb suggests they're ideal for 'game consoles' and similar toys.
