Default RetroTechUK 2024

Are there any booking forms anywhere? BVWS site says bookings to be available in January, but I can not find it.

John.

Hi everyone

The stall holder booking forms will be available via the website sometime between mid to late February, I'll announce when on here.

We're looking forwards to a great event again this year and are hoping to fit a few more stalls in to the hall, as one or two folk were disappointed that we couldn't accommodate them last year.

Organising the stall bookings is something that I do voluntarily and have to fit into my spare time. With an extremely busy workload currently and a busy family life too, I haven't the time to do anything just yet...

I appreciate your patience.

Regards

Has anyone heard back re their application for a table(s) at this year's event? I put my request in straight away, but haven't heard anything yet and it is only 5 weeks away.

Thanks all,

Adrian.

Hi Adrian

Don't worry, I have stack of stall holder forms here that I haven't opened yet due to being busy and away with work, I hope to plough through them this weekend...

I'll drop an update here once I've had a chance to do so, which will probably be tomorrow after I get back from Golborne....

Thanks

A reminder that the event is just over 4 weeks away!

There are only 10 tables left, so if you've been intending to book a stall, get the form off now as I expect the event to be fully booked by this weekend, allowing for what could already be in the post. It's first come, first served! Stallholders tickets and a table plan will be sent out in a couple of weeks.

A form and further details are available from https://www.retrotechuk.com

There is no event on in the hall next door this year, so the site should be a little quieter and hopefully the wait to get served at the refreshments trailer will be shorter...

We just need our fingers and everything else crossed now for a bright and sunny day!

Hello,

How will the parking be around mid-morning, as I recon I'll be getting there around 10:30-11:00. I figure with just Retrotech running the parking will be a tad easier this time.

Just in case, and after last year, I'll have my Lightsaber and X Wing Helmet with me

Terry.

It is difficult to say how many vehicles last year were for each event, but if you assume there will be about half the number of vehicles that should be a reasonable indication. I suspect there were actually more for the other event than ours.

If you find yourself parked some distance away it would be worth checking again later, perhaps when taking something small out to the car, as there may well be spaces available closer that you can move to. That's what I did last year.

Overflow parking is on the car park of a next door business premises which they have an agreement with for Sunday use, which is on the A423 Oxford Road. There is a cut through footpath, it’s a minutes walk if that. But hopefully you’ll find a space on site.

Thanks for that chaps.

As long as there is something somewhere...

I reckon that power supply from Andy is bit of a weighty ole' lump.

Maybe best transferred directly from one vehicle to the other, later in the day when it's quieter so you can park near each other, then. No point lugging it into the hall then back out again.

Thanks or the replies.

I have a foldable sack barrow, which makes it easier.

I'll spend about two hours at the Retrotech as I've got to go onto Reddich to pick-up some kit.
