Currently freezing fog in N. Bristol but, providing it's not a pea souper tomorrow morning, I'm hoping to make it, bringing Boulevardier and a guest. Cheers, Jerry

Fingers crossed then Jerry! The lift (and your coming out of your way to pick me up) is very much appreciated!

We're a hardy lot, we retro tech guys and gals. Throgh snow and wind and rain...
Brian, Chris and I will all be there tomorrow behind our MCR21 stall! I can recall a recent RWB where we had about 6" of snow and yet the car park was full and the hall was buzzing. I hope Mike has lots of mince pies ready....
See you all tomorrow,
-Jeremy

It would be nice to be there, but ‘life’ has determined other plans for the next month or so.

July next year is firmly in the diary.

Mike has been kind enough to place a couple of commission bids in the auction.

Terry.

What a great day out, the weather lifted overnight so the journey wasn’t too bad. As usual there was great company, it was busy and there was lots to see.
Thanks very much to Mike and the team for the event.

Yes I’m pleased the weather improved, rain rather than bitter cold and potential ice. It was definitely busier than the July event which was great to see. Plenty of interesting items on the stalls and a really good mix in the auction.

I would say prices in the auction were fairly low but we have been saying that for so long that I think this is just where prices are now.

Everything seemed to go very smoothly from what I saw, apart from some intermittent issues with Mike’s radio mic.

Overall a really good day. After 5 hours of auction portering I need an early-ish night.

Thank you to everyone that made it happen, and to everyone that attended.

A great day out, and so nice to meet in person people who had previously just been forum names!

It's must be at least 10 years since I last attended - really glad I went along today as had a great time, lots of interesting items in the auction.

Another happy RWB event over. I always enjoy being there, lots of really nice people to chat to, and sometimes I even take enough money at my table to cover expenses (unless I buy anything there).

Thanks to all involved - looking forward to Biggleswade next year.

Thanks Mike and the gang for another great "do" and he usual entertaining auction. Couldn't resist the odd bid but why not!

Weather very sketchy at 07:30 in Ilkeston where I was staying and several inches of snow - where did that come from?? Having the 4x4 was a useful as there were some fairly treacherous roads on the way to the M1!

We left without saying "Cheerio" as we were waiting to load and then would have been blocking other people.

Thanks again to all for makeing the event possible.

Good morning,
It was a rather snowy start from Belper, though we managed to get here ok.
It was a fine day, met many forum members and exchanged an oscilloscope and a telly CRT. Many thanks for all for a well run event an auction!

I managed to get 2 things in the auction.
The big screen oscilloscope which was on the floor in front the stage, and the SABA Frieburg 8 Receiver with 12 valves and automatic motorised tuning seeker plus motorised ferrite antenna rotator!. Has a few EC92 valves and an ECL80 which must be unusual valves for a radio! I am looking forward to having a play with these!!

Yes, a good day. and thanks to those who made it happen.
Won two beautiful items in the auction, a possible kit made neutrodyne I had seen at Golborne and resisted, and a Pathe 1920's cone loudspeaker I bid for on impluse, good coil, and am very glad I did.
Also found several fascinating early books on the stalls.
Managed to avoid potholes on the Fosse on the return run!

I had a stall again this time and was delighted to sell most of my ‘junk’!

Admittedly, I had priced ‘to sell’ but it was great to interact with the visitors. A greater footfall was evident which was much welcomed. No bartering was evident on my stall…. In fact I was bartering with the customers so that I didn’t have to take it home!

All in all a much enjoyed day, and long may it continue. Grateful thanks to Mike, Jim, and all other BVWS members who made it happen.

Cheers. SimonT.

Thank you Paul and the rest of the BVWS team for making the results available so quickly! I enjoy looking through the results and with each passing auction I am more and more tempted to make the trip down myself.
