Default Roberts RT. 1. handle repair

Nice radio I use in the bedroom but it has a broken strap handle. Quite a clean break, I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to repair it without it looking bodged!
Thanks.

I bought a red Roberts handle which I could cut to length some years ago from Graham Gosling at East Coast Wireless, he normally has a stall at NVCF/Retrotech. Failing that, I sometimes source suitable leather belts from charity shops and such like. It is then just a case of trimming it to length, punching out the holes at either end and crimping the gilded brass ends back on.

Thank you Neil, I think a replacement rather than a repair might be the option. The radio is quite heavy so a repair would always be the weak spot and probably fail!
