Default Is it possible to replace complex pot ?

HI !
I own a list of German origin amplifiers, most of them into radio sets.
These amplifiers use complex potentiometers to control volume with up to three tapping for tone control consistent with volume.
Of course the parts are long unavailable and one of them needs a squirt of Kontact 60 every 6 months or so. So I fear it will die soon.
What will be my options here ? How could I simulate the tapping or replace them ? ( if you add that the axe is 4mm diameter with two flat positions for the button, you've a restorer's nightmare )
What would you, guys, do ?

Hi Georges,

REFURBISHMENT is often possible once contact cleaner fails to work.

You can often open them up very carefully, clean everything and polish the metal contacts and slip ring, then lubricate and re-assemble.

Nick.
